Basil pesto |Vegan, nut free

Hello everyone

Already one year since I started this blog. Unbelievable .

Do you love joe and the juice sandwiches? they are so good. I’ve made my own, it is made with this pesto, but like says in the title, without the cheese and without the nuts.

Take you favorite bread, spread pesto on both slices, add avocado slices, tomato slices. If you have a favorite vegan cheese you can add that to. Put in a Panini press or a sandwich press for couple of minutes. It’s ready.

Recipe for pesto

Basil About 100 gr (3-4 handfuls)

Garlic 2 cloves

Sunflower seeds 1/2 cup

Nutritional yeast 2 Tbsp

Salt 1/2 tsp

Olive oil have on hand 1 cup you might not need it all.

Mix until everything is well combined. If you like your pesto a bit rough you can mix less.

Thanks so much for all your support for this first year of If you like what you see please share the recipes so we can find more people who like my blog. I’m so thankful.

Thank you all my followers and thank you new followers.

You can see the video for this pesto here

Hope you try this

Until next time ❤

Sundried tomato pesto without nuts

Hi everyone

If you have watched my July favorites you know that I made a new pesto recipe while we were on holiday cause Dóri’s sister has allergies to nuts.

So I made a video on that pesto and also I made a Basil pesto recipe that will be up  later this week or early next week.

This is almost the same recipe as this one but with out nuts. This was everyone’s favorite the whole trip. I don’t even know how many badges I made of this. I had to make an extra badges right before I left so everyone could have pesto when we were gone.

Here’s the recipe.

Sun dried tomatoes, 100 gr

Garlic, 1-2 clove

Fresh Basil, hand full

Balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp

Agave/maple syrup  , 1 tsp

Extra Virgin Olive Oil, about 3/4 cup or 2 dl

Salt, 1 tsp

Sunflower seeds, about 80 gr I always just add a handful.

Here you can watch the video. Hope you like it as always.

Until next time ❤

Vegan Breadsticks

Hi everyone

As you may know, we always have a pizza party here at our house on Friday nights, most of the time, we have my sister and her family over. Some Fridays we have friends over. When I have left over pizza dough, I always make bread sticks. This recipe is my favorite. The nutritional yeast acts like parmesan.

This is as good as it looks like!

Hi Everyone

Couple of years ago I made my own Guacamole recipe. Since then I’m always changing it a bit, but finally I have found my perfect Guacamole recipe. There are probably many similar recipes on the Internet like mine, but I don’t care. I love this one.

It’s so easy, and I always have on hand these ingredients so I can whip up a Guacamole anytime. And you can to!

Grocery haul #1

Hello guys

Yesterday I went to the grocery store, I picked up a couple of things for a video and for the home of course. While I was setting up I thought, I should do a grocery haul blog.  So here are some of the vegan products I bought.

Sojade is a new favorite in this  house. I love it, the kids love it. I just need to do more granola for the yogurt. Maybe I’ll do something new.

I love this rice drink for cereals, but for oatmeal and for granola I always use almond milk or oat milk.

Of course I picked up a good amount of fruits and veggies.

Icelandic tomatoes
Icelandic piccolo tomatoes
Yellow beetroot (this whole bag was 38 cents) 50 IKR
Icelandic Coriander
Red onion

Way Better snacks Blue Corn tortilla chips

Organic Cocoa butter for a recipe that’s coming up

Icelandic Flatbrauð or Flat bread. It’s so good with my pesto or vegan butter and bananas.

And last but nut least Organic coconut and coconut sugar chocolate. This is so good !

I can not go to a grocery store without buying at least one chocolate bar, there are so many good quality vegan chocolates around here.

I really hope you like this kinds of blogs. I love seeing what other people are buying, I get so inspired to try new things when I see these grocery hauls.

Let me know what kinds of blogs you would like to see

Until next time ❤
