Chocolate covered mulberries

Hi Everyone

I’m on fire with the blog right now, I just had so many good ideas couple of days ago when walking around the grocery store. Today I was craving something sweet but not so unhealthy. Then I remembered those chocolate covered mulberries form the raw chocolate company. They are so expensive here in Iceland, so I thought I could maybe make my own version.

I searched the internet to find a perfect chocolate recipe to cover them in, but couldn’t find many I wanted to use so I took what I thought was best in some of them and made something that smells and tastes like chocolate.

If you are a fan of very dark chocolate this is definitely for you ! I used organic mulberries, and then my chocolate

For the chocolate you will need:

1/2 cup of Cacao powder

1/4 cup of maple syrup

1/2 cup of coconut oil

Stir everything in a bowl, I used a fork to separate and mix everything well. Then you can dip your berries in. Put them on a parchment paper and in to the fridges for 30 minutes and you are good to go.  You can also cover them in cacao powder after the chocolate, then they will not melt as easily in your hands when you eat them. Mine is maybe not the prettiest but damn they are good. IMG_1950

This is something that is perfect after dinner when you crave something sweet. But you don’t want something unhealthy. While writing this blog post I’ve now finished all my mulberries, oops. Need to make more for the kids for after school snack.

I really hope you try these. They are delicious.

Until next time ❤
