Pancakes with chocolate spread 

Hello Everybody

On weekends I like to bake something with the kids for midday snack. This weekend we made pancakes. I was browsing through the Chloe’s Vegan Italian Kitchen cookbook when I found these olive oil pancakes. But I didn’t want to make it with plain flour. So I mixed 50/50 whole wheat flour and plain flour. For a bit more fiber.

This is perfect to wake up to on your birthday or on any special day.

The pancakes are amazing ! They are soft, fluffy and sweet. Perfect to eat with maple syrup or chocolate spread.

We used chocolate spread and blueberries. In the book there is a recipe for nutella chocolate spread.


What I used was:

2 cups flour (50/50 whole wheat and plain)

2 Tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cup water

6 Tbsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp vanilla powder



Blend everything together. But not too much just so everything is combined.

Then add to a hot skillet 2-3 pancakes at a time depends on the size of your skillet.

Serve with maple syrup or Chocolate spread with fresh fruits.
