Crispy Brussels sprouts

Hello !

Christmas season is over now and I have still a couple of holiday recipes that can work with the Sunday roast or as a snack that I want to share. The first one is Brussels sprouts, I love Brussels sprouts, it is one of those items that we always have on our holiday table. This is not the traditional boiled sprouts. These are so much better, crunchy , seasoned and so delicious.

Is it weird to be excited about roasted vegetables? I do this with broccoli sometimes to. So this works for more than just sprouts.

First you need to clean them and cut of any leaves that are not okay, then cut in half.

Next you need to put them in to a baking tray and season.

Put them in a 200°C oven for 20 minutes and they will be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside

Do you like Brussels sprouts ? This is a new favorite in my house, my boyfriend is not a big Veggie man but this he loves seasoned with salt and pepper.  My little boy loves this to. Unfortunately Brussels sprouts are not for long in season so it can be very difficult to get them here in Reykjavík. This is a very good snack also, specially if you crave something at night. Savory and you can easily make this spicy.

100 gr Brussels sprouts

1-2 Tbsp olive oil

salt and pepper to taste. (You can change the salt for tamari or soy sauce)

Cut, bake and eat !

Easy and delicious

I Hope you try this as side dish or as a snack

Yes it looks like I’m weird to be excited about this 😉

Until next time
